I have started growing you youtube channel this year, An i will say i found out some good stuff for you to know . the people want to watch a video you make with your own voice.. You can make a video from your phone about anything . I am still learning and working on following many different creators so i can see just what they do to ge subscribers.. One Big One i see is the Drama Channels, I follow the crime seen on youtube and let me tell you if you make a Drama Channel you get subs like crazy.. be they are also called Trolls.. and they really dont care.. there are creators on there that set there phone up in there house and just let people talk to them while they do there thing..
